The Baron Hotel Karbala

In 2013, Dreshak Group successfully launched the first five star hotel in the holy city of Karbala. Located just 1 km from the Holy Shrine, it is the tallest building in the whole of Iraq.

The Baron was conceived from a single sentence, “If no one can do it, we can.” A 20-storey, 5-star hotel in Karbala seemed unlikely but we were determined to make it happen. We built our dream from the ground up. Our mission is simple: work hard and get it right for the customers.

Facilities:

  • With 190 employees, The Baron Karbala consists of 271 luxury rooms/suites and 2 Presidential suites.
  • Three (3) restaurants offer an international buffet, open air Bar B-Q restaurant and a café/coffee shop along with 3 banquet halls/meeting rooms available to the guests and visitors.
  • The hotel has five (5) stand-alone specialized restaurants in the promenade offering Iraqi, Lebanese, Persian, Pakistani/Indian and continental cuisine as well as a pizza restaurant and a fast food restaurant.
  • A separate delicatessen with in-house made items is also amongst these promenade restaurants. The landscaping is of international levels with wide walking areas with lush green lawns and trees.
  •  Regular shuttle services are available every 15 minutes to and from the Holy Shrines.
  • A helipad has been specially constructed on the hotel rooftop which provides helicopter service from/to Baghdad/Najaf airports for those guests desiring to use these service to avoid traffic and security checkpoints.
