Established in 1949, Dreshak Group has maintained an unblemished record spanning 66 years. With a current workforce of 585 across 19 countries, we are recognized for our commitment to exploring new horizons, achieving stellar growth, and consistently delivering top-quality performances across diverse industries and geographies.

The markets that we operate in are among the most vibrant ones – dynamic and highly competitive. It gives me a lot of satisfaction that Dreshak is a leader in a number of markets and businesses. The tremendous growth achieved by the company during the last few years is mainly attributable to the steadfastness by which we uphold our values. We are never shy of innovating, moving quickly into new markets and making sure that all our activities are coordinated with the foremost consideration of our customer.


The leadership team takes it as a primary duty to uphold the principles of ethical conduct, good governance and lawful dispensation in all its endeavours. The Board of Directors and Management team comprises professionals with diverse industry backgrounds embodying the leadership skills required to achieve its vision of developing intellectual as well as financial capital. The projects that the company is embarking upon, especially in the hospitality sector, require determination, courage and a will to perform. I take pride in the fact that we have all the qualities to make our endeavors a resounding success.

It is a regular contributor to philanthropic initiatives and runs “SCINOSA” (Society for Children In Need of Special Attention), a school for children with down-syndrome in Karachi.

Tufeyl Akbar

Director Sales and Marketing

Tufeyl has more than 40 years of experience in marketing and sales. He is an expert in planning, organising, and managing all operational areas of the hotel industry, including forecasting and budget preparation. In addition, he has diverse experience in the travel and tourism industry, having successfully managed a well-known travel agency in Pakistan.

Firas Shakir

Executive assistant Manager - Karbala

Firas Shakir is a graduate of the University of Baghdad, College of Languages. He joined Dreshak in 2005 and has previous experience working with other foreign entities operating in Iraq. He joined the Baron Hotel & Restaurants – Karbala team in 2015.

Over 38 years of experience in the hospitality, consumer goods, and electronics industry, encompassing sales, marketing, and operations at regional and corporate levels for globally recognized brands.

Abdul Rashid

Chief Financial Officer

Abdul Rashid joined the Dreshak Group in 2011 as a finance manager. Over the years, he has earned his position as the Chief Financial Officer of the company. He is a qualified cost and management accountant with more than 22 years of experience in the fields of auditing, taxation, financial reporting, and management consultancy. As the CFO, Abdul is responsible for ensuring that the management team makes well-informed decisions that prioritize financial sustainability and growth.

Fakhr alam

Share holder

Mr. Fakhr Alam is the Vice Chairman of DP World for Pakistan and is also a well known personality in Pakistan. He brings a lot of value to the Group in view of his vast experience in marketing.

Sajjad Razvi

Board Advisor

Sajjad Razvi is a highly experienced banking professional with a proven track record in the financial industry. He previously held the position of President at Citigroup Inc., based in New York, and later served as Managing Director at Samba Financial Group, one of the leading banks in Saudi Arabia. During his tenure at Samba, Razvi played a key role in achieving impressive financial results, even in the face of challenging global economic conditions. He was recognised for his effective management and strategic decision-making skills. After leaving Samba, Razvi joined R.J. Fleming & Co. as a Senior Managing Director. Currently, he serves as a Board Advisor at Codebase Technologies.

Imtiaz Muslim

Managing Director

Imtiaz is the current Managing Director of the Dreshak Group, having joined in 2005 after completing his education at the University of New Mexico. Over the years, he has gained experience in various fields including security, hospitality, trading, real estate. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing the functioning of all areas of the organization, which includes human resources, trading, and hospitality.

Mumtaz Muslim

CEO & President

With over 50 years of experience in starting, developing, and managing successful business ventures, Mumtaz joined the family business in 1976. He diversified the company across various industries and geographies, leading the development of The Baron hotels in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the development and successful exits of various group businesses. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Mumtaz served as the President of the Pakistan Business Council in Dubai.
